I’m a mum to two moderate to absolutely completely wild boys, a lover of the theatre, great food, and good comedy - stand-up, sitcoms, chat shows, Alan Carr as a Traitor - you name it, I’m in. A coffee and a pastry in the morning is absolutely everything, and I love biscuits (eating not baking) and telly.

In my spare time, I’m usually found wrangling those two boys I mentioned (of which, one has much stickier-out ears than the other - I won’t tell you which one, you’ll know). My favourite film is Free Willy, and I have seen Hanson in concert more than once. I’m a very non-judgemental person, and my mum describes me as “quite nice - a bit silly.” I’m a good listener and already love ya.

Before becoming a celebrant, I spent ten years teaching at a little primary school in Bristol. I loved it - especially telling stories, putting on the Christmas play with the kids, and (most importantly) directing the staff panto!

That decade in the classroom was all about connection - finding the right words, the right tone, and the right bit of warmth to make people feel seen and part of something special. I didn’t realise it at the time, but it was basically the best training for what I do now.

Here’s my confession…When I got married, I pretended to more religious than I actually am because I figured a vicar would have more oomph than a registrar. And I was right - they had good gumption and Joy (the Vicar) was lush! But my ceremony also had a bit more religion than I’d bargained for… Then, I saw a celebrant in action, and BOOM - it all made sense. This is how weddings and life’s celebrations should be, this is how they should feel! And now, I’ve got the best job in the world.

I bring my love for storytelling and a solid dose of comedic timing to craft a ceremony that’s just-so-you in a way that feels like a celebration. Your story and your vibe-wrapped up in a way that keeps your guests laughing, tearing up (to just the right amount), and completely hooked.

I love holding a crowd in that sweet spot where they feel relaxed, engaged, and fully in the moment. And as someone who’s been down the aisle myself, I totally get how much you just want this part to be easy and exciting - it should be complete perfection.
