Award-Winning Wedding Celebrant in the South West: My Night at the Wedding Industry Awards!

Still Pinching Myself…

As a wedding celebrant based in Bristol and working across the South West, I’ve always believed that the best ceremonies are personal, meaningful, and full of personality. So winning Best Wedding Celebrant in the South West at the Wedding Industry Awards is something I still find hard to believe.

It’s one of those moments that feels slightly surreal even months later….

The Night It All Happened

The awards took place in November at the beautiful Aldwick Estate in Bristol. From the moment we arrived, there was a real buzz in the air. It was suuuuch a brilliant evening - catching up with familiar faces in the wedding industry, meeting new suppliers, and celebrating the community that makes this job so special!

One of the things I love about being a Bristol wedding celebrant and working across the wider South West (and beyond!) is exactly that sense of connection. You end up building a little wedding family of incredibly talented, creative people.

Why These Awards Matter So Much

What makes these awards so meaningful is that they are based entirely on feedback from couples.

Every couple I worked with during the qualifying period was invited to complete a detailed questionnaire about their experience, from the very first contact right through to the wedding ceremony itself. They rated things like communication, professionalism, and most importantly, how personal and memorable their ceremony felt.

That is what matters most to me.

Not just a panel. But real couples sharing real experiences of their wedding day.

Some of the Feedback That Meant the World

When I later received the comments from my couples, I honestly couldn’t stop reading them. A few things they said included:

“Polly made us feel completely at ease from the very beginning. It felt like she truly knew us, and the ceremony reflected us perfectly.”

“Our guests said it was the best ceremony they had ever been to. It was fun, emotional, and so beautifully delivered - Polly is just amazing.”

“The whole process was effortless. Polly made everything so easy, and the ceremony felt completely personal and unique to us.”

Reading feedback like this is one of the biggest privileges of being a wedding celebrant in Bristol and across the South West. It reminds me exactly why I love what I do!

And Then… The Winner Was Announced

When the celebrant category was announced, I genuinely wasn’t expecting to hear my name.

But I did.

What followed is a bit of a blur.

I stood up, completely ignored my husband, and ran to the back of the room high-fiving people as the Spice Girls played in the background. I somehow made it onto the stage, spotted my friend Tasha from Ink and Lace Illustrated, screamed like a little schoolgirl having just snogged Harry Styles, and then spent the rest of the evening celebrating with a few extra tasty G&Ts.

It was chaotic, joyful, and completely unforgettable!

Why This Award Means So Much

Winning Best Wedding Celebrant in the South West means the world to me, not just because of the title, but because it came directly from couples I’ve had the absolute honour of working with.

Couples who trusted me with one of the most meaningful parts of their wedding day.

That means everything.
