Sophia & Rob - Married at The Old Gore, Cirencester

Sophia & Rob

I met Sophia and Rob a couple of years ago at a wedding fair, and we just clicked. They booked me straight away, but then life had a little twist - they were expecting! So we postponed, and finally, earlier this month, I got to celebrate their wedding… with their gorgeous nine-month-old daughter, Ivy, in tow. Honestly, my heart was full.

Their ceremony at the Old Gore, Yard Space in Cirencester was everything you hope a wedding can be - fun, loving, and full of personality. We started with a beautiful reading, Why Do We Work, You and I, and shared their story - 14 years in the making, with Loki the fur baby, then all about the arrival of their chubby cheeked cherub, and plenty of laughs along the way. Sophia’s friends, Ariana and Surya, read a passage from Dolly Alderton’s Everything I Know About Love - modern, honest, sweet and perfectly them.

Rob really wanted to honour his lovely mum, who sadly passed away. We spoke about her during the ceremony - not in a heavy way, but in a way that felt true to her and who she was. We shared how amazing she’d been, and even brought in one of her own quotes as part of their story. It was such a touching moment, and a beautiful way to feel her presence there on the day.

They said their own vows, exchanged rings with a couple of surprise ring bearers (Sophia’s grandma and Rob’s great aunt Jenny), and everyone joined in the most uplifting “We Do.” We wrapped up with a sing-along to All About You by McFly, and the room was just buzzing with energy and love!

It was such a joy to celebrate Sophia, Rob, and little Ivy. A truly special day, and one that will always hold a very special place in my heart.

Here’s a clip of their big day from the amazing Pete Chiddy Video who captured their day so well!
